A shooting on Thanksgiving hospitalized one person, Baltimore County police said.

PIKESVILLE, MD — One person was shot on Thanksgiving in Pikesville, police announced on Facebook Thursday at 3:41 p.m.

Officers said the victim was hospitalized.

Authorities said the shooting happened in the area of Hawthorne Avenue. The mostly residential street has a few businesses near its intersection with Reisterstown Road. The back of a golf course lies across the street from Hawthorne Avenue.
