Did you buy a lottery ticket in Towson recently? One Powerball player has not yet claimed the $50,000 prize.

TOWSON, MD — A Towson liquor store sold a winning Powerball ticket recently that is worth five figures, according to the Maryland Lottery.

Towson Place Liquors sold the ticket Thursday, Sept. 30, for the Powerball drawing Saturday, Oct. 2. The winning numbers were 28, 38, 42, 47, 52 and a Powerball of 1.

To win $50,000, people must match four balls and the Powerball.

Since nobody hit the Powerball jackpot, it rolled to $670 million for the drawing Monday, Oct. 4.

Maryland had 60,684 total winners for Saturday's drawing from $4 to $50,000, including the player who bought a ticket at Towson Place Liquors.

That player is also among 50 people in Maryland who have purchased $50,000 winning Powerball tickets so far this year, according to the Maryland Lottery.

The ticket sold at the liquor store at 1250 Putty Hill Avenue remains unclaimed as of Monday, Oct. 4, according to lottery officials.

Winners have 182 days from the drawing date to claim their prizes and are advised to sign the backs of their tickets and put them in a safe place.

Prizes greater than $25,000 must be claimed by mail or at the Maryland Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330, Baltimore, MD 21230. To visit, people must make an appointment at the lottery headquarters.
