Towson Cancels Basketball Game Due To Coronavirus Case
A basketball game at Towson University has been canceled "out of an abundance of caution," officials said.
TOWSON, MD — The Towson women's basketball team has canceled one of its games due to a positive COVID-19 test, officials reported Monday.
Authorities said the person who tested positive for coronavirus was on the team. They said a PCR test was returned Monday morning showing the positive result.
The Tigers' matchup against the Memphis Tigers has been canceled, "out of an abundance of caution," officials said. It was slated for Tuesday, Dec. 13, at home. ESPN previewed the game.
