Towson Crime: Victim Chases Down Burglar

The following information was supplied by the Baltimore County Police Department. In cases where a criminal charge is noted, the information provided does not indicate a conviction.

 

Dulaney Valley Road, 1000 block. 7:30 p.m. May 12. A man stole a backpack, laptop, wallet and checkbook from a dorm room. The victim chased the man, who returned the stolen property. The man damaged the victim's Honda Civic while backing out.

Rodgers Forge

Dunkirk Road, 100 block. Between 8 p.m. May 11 and 9 a.m. May 12. A white men's Motobecane bike and red boy's Magna bike were reported taken from an unlocked detached garage.

Hopkins Road, 400 block. 8:16 p.m. May 8. Two men entered an unlocked detatched garage and stole a deflated basketball.

Hillendale

Solar Circle, unit block. 12:27 a.m. May 9. Two men entered a home and told the resident to stay in the bathroom, then rummaged through the apartment. One man reportedly had a handgun. The men took a wallet, containing $22, and an iPad, then fled in an unknown direction.

Halstead Road, 1100 block. 7:10 p.m. May 6. A red 2002 Acura MDX with temporary tags was reported stolen. The victim had left the car running and unlocked while waiting at a front door. A man got in the car and drove away.

Anneslie

Regester Avenue, 600 block. Between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. May 6. A 20-inch red bike with flower stickers was reported stolen from a front porch.

Pinehurst

Mossway, 6300 block. Between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. May 5. A Troy Bilt push mover was removed from a locked, partially fenced shed.

Bare Hills

Falls Road, 6200 block. Between 10 p.m. May 6 and 6:30 a.m. May 7. A red Trek mountain bike and burgundy Trek comfort ride bike were reported stolen from an unsecured garage.

Greenbrier

Acorn Circle, unit block. Between 7:35 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. May 7. About $750 in coins was removed from a large water jug.

Towson Park

Fairmount Avenue, 900 block. Between 8 a.m. and 7:20 p.m. May 3. A resident found the rear basement door glass broken and drawers and cabinets left open, but the only thing missing was $10 from a kitchen drawer.
