Towson Crime: Burglar Replaces Wheelchair with Cheaper Model

Downtown Towson

East Joppa Road, 200 block. Between Feb. 20 and Mar. 10. Someone used a key to enter an apartment, took a wheelchair and replaced it with a cheaper model.

Virginia Avenue, 400 block. Between 3 p.m. Mar. 9 and 9:30 a.m. Mar. 13. Someone entered a backyard and took a black grill and a white dryer.

Loch Raven Boulevard and Hillen Road. 10:45 p.m. Mar. 14. A woman got off a bus and was attacked from behind by a man. He put a hand over her mouth, told her not to yell, tried to pull up her skirt, punched her in the face and grabbed her right breast. The woman broke free and the man fled toward Baltimore City.

The Colony

Charing Terrace, 700 block. 7:30 a.m. Mar. 15. A Compaq laptop was reported taken. The apartment had been left open and the laptop was left near the front door. It was found and returned later that morning.

West Towson

Towsontown Court, 200 block. Between 12:30 and 9 a.m. Mar. 14. Two laptops were reported removed. A terrace door was found unlocked.

Towsontown Court, 200 block. Between 6:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. Mar. 14. A Hewlett-Packard laptop, $30 in cash and a wallet were reported stolen from an apartment.

Rodgers Forge

Blenheim Road, 6800 block. 2:40 a.m. Mar. 17. A witness heard a man coughing and found the access to a crawl space was open. The witness turned on the crawl space lights and saw a man run away. Police found that copper had been cut from the crawl space.

Hillendale

Saturn Court, unit block. Between 6 p.m. Mar. 4 and 3:30 p.m. Mar. 13. A 40-inch Samsung TV was reported stolen. A door may have been left unlocked.

Neptune Court, unit block. Between 3 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Mar. 9. A 32-inch Vizio flat screen television was reported stolen by unknown means.

Aigburth Manor

Aigburth Road. 9:15 p.m. Mar. 12. Somewhere between and Donnybrook Apartments, a man was jumped. The robber attacked from behind, punched the victim and took his wallet, according to police.
