Towson Crime: Man Steals Car Off BMW Lot

Kenilworth Drive, 700 block. 2:15 p.m. Dec. 28. A salesman at gave a man the key to a grey BMW 750Lxi so he could examine the interior. The man drove off, nearly hitting the salesman. The salesman followed in another car and stopped behind the driver, who backed into the salesman's car and fled, according to a police incident summary.

Ecoway Court, unit block. Between noon Dec. 22 and 6 p.m. Dec. 23. Someone wedged plastic into a laundry room keyhole, broke open a metal box containing quarters, stole an unknown amount of money, turned the machines over and fled through a window, police said.

Lachlan Circle, 6900 block. Between 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Dec. 29. A Hewlett-Packard laptop, Toshiba laptop, Vizio 19-inch television, Sony DVD player and a case of cigarettes were removed from an apartment, police said.

Stoneleigh

Stevenson Lane, 500 block. Between 8 a.m. Dec. 14 and 8:30 a.m., Dec. 28. One 100-foot roll and two 70-foot rolls of copper wire were removed from a work site. Police said they found no signs of forced entry.

Loch Raven

Loch Raven Boulevard, 8300 block. Between 1:30 p.m. and 11:45 p.m. Dec. 28. A silver Sony laptop, two Visa gift cards, Bank of America checks and $50 in coins were removed from a residence. Police said they found no signs of forced entry.

Chestnut Oak Road, 8500 block. Between 10 p.m. Dec. 31 and 3:25 a.m. Jan. 1. Someone broke glass and forced open a front door to a residence, where an Xbox 360 was removed, police said.

Rodgers Forge

York Road, 7200 block. 12:35 a.m., Jan. 2. Someone entered the Royal Farms, displayed a handgun, knelt behind the counter and demanded cash and cigarettes, police said. He fled north from the store with the cigarettes and $80 in cash.
