Towson Crime: Police Report Area Robberies

Rodgers Forge

Murdock Road, 200 block. 11:20 p.m. March 31. A man jumped a pedestrian. The victim gave the man his wallet. The assailant found it contained no money, threw it down and fled on foot, police said.

York Road, 7200 block. Noon April 1. At The Tan Company, a man passed a note to a clerk and grabbed $100 from the shop's cash drawer, police said. He fled to a Nissan car on Old Trail Road.

Downtown Towson

York Road and Pennsylvania Avenue. 2:47 a.m. April 1. Someone attacked a pedestrian, stole $170 and fled, police said.

East Joppa Road, 100 block. 6:20 p.m. March 28. A woman was walking to the mall when a male took her iPhone from her hand. The two struggled. The victim pulled off his hoodie, shirt and hat. The robber fled eastbound on Joppa Road.

East Towson

Lennox Avenue, 300 block. Between March 26 and 27. Someone broke a fire extinguisher box and sprayed the extinguisher on the upper level of the East Towson Carver Community Center.

Hillendale

Taylor Avenue, 900 block. 9:08 p.m. March 31. While en route to make a bank deposit, a Radio Shack employee was approached by a man with a black handgun who told him to "just kick it out." The employee handed over the deposit bag, containing $2,760, and then ran. While the employee ran away, he was shot twice with a BB gun.

Taylor Avenue, 1300 block. 6:02 a.m. March 28. A man entered 7-Eleven, displayed a gun and demanded money. He grabbed $40.83 from the register and fled toward Hillsway Avenue.

Towson

Dulaney Valley Court, 900 block. Between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. March  30. Someone kicked in an apartment door and stole a 45-inch Vizio television.

Loch Raven

Loch Shiel Road, 1800 block. 11:32 p.m. March 29. A man was walking on Aberdeen Road when he was approached by three men, one carrying a gun. He was knocked to the ground and told to lay face down while the men took his cell phone, backpack, watch, tablet and jacket, police said. The men fled toward Loch Raven Boulevard.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 6800 block. Between 7 p.m. March 25 and 9 a.m.  March 26. A leaf blower, nail gun and miter saw were removed from a shed.

Edgewood Road, 1700 block. 10:43 a.m. March 26. Police found a man inside a vacant apartment. The apartment may have been unlocked. Police arrested Jamal Lowell Carroll, 18, of the 1600 block of Thetford Road. He is charged with first-degree and fourth-degree burglary and was released March 27 on $500 bail.

Towson Woods Apartments

Witherwood Court, unit block. Between 1 p.m. March 19 and 7:30 a.m.  March 27. Someone kicked in an apartment door and removed an iPad, MacBook and $450 cash, police said.
