Towson Crime: Men Beaten with Roller Skates

Loch Raven

Orchard Tree Lane, 8800 block. 2 a.m. Feb. 18. Two men were injured in a fight at Skateland. The victims were severely beaten with roller skates, police said.

Loch Raven Boulevard, 6800 block. 3:56 a.m. Feb. 18. At IHOP, a woman tried to stop a fight between friends and another group. The woman was punched in the mouth and stabbed in the right breast with an unknown object.

Loch Raven and Goucher boulevards. 6:40 p.m. Feb. 17. Two men asked a man for money. The man refused and turned away. The men pushed him down and took an HTC Windows Phone from his hand.

Riderwood

Rider Avenue, 8100 block. Between 7 p.m. Feb. 9 and 10 a.m. Feb. 10. Someone forced open a rear basement door and removed a Tag Heuer watch from the master bedroom.

Rider Avenue, 8100 block. Between 4 p.m. Feb. 15 and 9 a.m. Feb. 16. At the same address, someone forced open the rear basement door and stole a television and a Sony PlayStation 3 from the master bedroom and living room.

Knettishall

Drumwood Road, 8300 block. Between noon and 3:45 p.m. Feb. 20. Someone removed a 26-inch red and silver Alchemist bike from a backyard and left behind a red, spray-painted mountain bike.

Doxbury Road, 1500 block. 11:23 p.m. Feb. 17. A man attempted to force his way into a home. He was found by police intoxicated and lying on the home's front porch. Police arrested Nathan Paul Vaccaro, 30, of the 400 block of Grindall St. in Federal Hill. He was charged with attempted fourth-degree burglary and disorderly conduct and released on his own recognizance, according to online court records.

Downtown Towson

York Road, 700 block. Between 3 a.m. and 1 p.m. Feb. 19. Someone pried open the front door of an apartment and stole $6,000 from a bedroom dresser.

Hillendale

Hillsway Avenue and Halstead Road. 10:40 p.m. Feb. 16. Four men approached two victims. One pulled out a black automatic handgun and told the victims to empty their pockets. The men stole three cell phones, police said.

Towson

York Road, 1000 block. Between 7 p.m. Feb. 16 and 8 a.m. Feb. 17. Someone cut a hole in the fence at the Toy Store—a luxury car dealership—and removed two after-market radios from two vehicles and an amplifier from a third car, police said. Coins were taken from an unlocked fourth car outside the fence.

Dulaney Valley Court, 900 block. Between 5 and 5:20 p.m. Feb. 20. A group home resident took the keys to a 2005 Toyota Sienna and was caught at the scene, police said. Nicholas Alexander Braham was caught and charged with grand theft auto and petty theft, according to an incident report.
