A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. The winter <a href="http://baltimorecountyrestaurantweek.com/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Baltimore County Restaurant Week</a> is almost upon us, and several Towson-area restaurants are getting in on the act. The restaurant week (actually 10 days) kicks off Wednesday at 10:45 a.m. with an event at Liberatore's Restaurant in Timonium hosted by County Executive Kevin Kamenetz. Deals will be available starting Thursday, with prix fixe lunch and dinner specials ranging from $10.12 to $35.12. The twice-yearly restaurant week is sponsored by the county and the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce. Four Towson establishments are in on the deal, along with several others nearby in <a href="https://parkville.patch.com" rel="nofollow">Parkville</a>, <a href="https://pikesville.patch.com" rel="nofollow">Pikesville</a>, <a href="https://timonium.patch.com" rel="nofollow">Lutherville, Timonium</a> and <a href="https://cockeysville.patch.com" rel="nofollow">Cockeysville.</a> Here are the Towson restaurants that are participating, with a menu where available.
