Towson Slogan Slow to Show Up
Ever wondered what happened after last spring's contest?

"It was going to be around the area in Towson within the next few months, so it's a bit disheartening, after the big to-do, then not seeing it," the Rodgers Forge resident said. "I'm just curious to see if it was even going through."

Glorioso won $250 and proclamations from local leaders at last year's Towsontown Spring Festival after her slogan—"Rich in History, Young at Heart"—was picked from more than 300 submissions to the .
Aside from that photo op, few have seen those six words around town since.

"We were going to put them on banners and hang them around Towson," said Nancy Hafford, the chamber's executive director. However, she said, the chamber lost county beautification grants, including money to make more banners.
Hafford said the chamber plans to add the new slogan to publications and other materials in the near future.
"Hopefully, they'll get some more money and I'll be able to see the fruits of my labor," Glorioso said, with a laugh.
