TRC Announces Opening Day Baseball Festivities

The Oriole Bird will join kids at the Dumbarton and Rodgers Forge fields.

With the Orioles' opening day just days away, Towson Recreation Council today announced their own big day.

The council's little league baseball players celebrate Opening Day on Saturday, April 21 on the fields between and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The league's season begins April 16.

The Oriole Bird will be on hand to help players celebrate from 8 to 11 a.m.

Players began practice on April 1. Children from 5 to 15 play in leagues ranging from T-ball to travel. The teams' season lasts through the end of the school year in June.
