Smoothie Shop Opens 1st MD Location In Towson, Offers Free Drinks

TOWSON, MD — A smoothie shop will celebrate the grand opening of its first Maryland location this Saturday in Towson.

Vara Juice, located at 402 1/2 York Road, will offer free smoothies from 2 pm. to 10 p.m.

With recipes inspired by the founders' Middle Eastern heritage, Vara Juice uses fresh and locally sourced ingredients.

"At Vara Juice®, our vision is to redefine the smoothie experience by delivering fresh, natural, and flavor rich beverages," Co-Founder and President Ali Albadani told Patch in a Wednesday statement. "Whether through new store openings, strategic partnerships, or innovative product offerings, we are building a brand that stands for more than just great smoothies—it stands for great quality."

The chain has 12 other shops spread between Illinois, Michigan, New Jersey, New York and North Carolina.

"As we expand, we remain committed to quality, innovation, and community-driven growth. Our goal is to make Vara Juice® a household name across the nation—one that represents authenticity and exceptional taste," Albadani said.

Spanning 1,500 square feet, the Towson location currently has four employees.
