A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. One toy and a few moments of your time could make life a little better for the children of fallen firefighters and police officers. , based near Rodgers Forge on York Road, is sponsoring the 13th annual <a href="http://www.abc2news.com/dpp/entertainment/holiday_activities/kindertime-toy-drive-drop-off-locations" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Kindertime Toy Drive.</a> Between now and Dec. 20, you can drop off new, unwrapped toys at fire stations, Celebree Learning Center locations and Walmart stores in the Baltimore area. Donations will also be accepted until Dec. 21 at the station's York Road studios. In the last 12 years, the drive has collected more than 350,000 toys for area children. On Dec. 22, between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m., the station will distribute the toys and emergency vehicles will drive away from the station to take the presents to their final destinations under Christmas trees across the Baltimore area.
