Worker Killed in Palisades Garage Accident
The complex's management sent a letter to residents on Monday about the incident.
(Updated 4:30 p.m.)—An employee at the Palisades apartment complex in Towson was killed Monday morning in an accident involving the building's automatic parking garage.
Timothy Bartholomew, 35, died at approximately noon Monday from injuries in a two-story fall from the fourth floor of the garage, police Detective Cathy Batton said.
The accident was caused when a portion of the automated parking machine fell from the fourth floor, causing Bartholomew to fall to the second floor, Batton said.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the complex at 212 Washington Ave. shortly before 11 a.m. Monday. Bartholomew was transported to , where he was pronounced dead.
The death is ruled accidental, though Batton said state occupational safety investigators were called to the scene

Bartholomew was also a resident of the apartment complex. Palisades management announced his death in a letter distributed to residents later Monday.
Two bays of the automatic parking garage will remain closed for maintenance, complex management said in the letter.
