Taxes, energy and marriage bills are among those on the table in this year's session.

The General Assembly session kicked off Wednesday, and there are many bills that are likely to spur political bickering.
The Capital News Service that legislators are torn on some of Gov. Martin O'Malley's legislative priorities. Those include hikes in the gasoline and sales tax and a proposal for $370 million in school construction funding.
The 90-day session will also see state legislators revisiting last year's proposal for same-sex marriage in Maryland. Last year's bill passed in the Senate and stalled in the House of Delegates.
