YOUR PHOTOS: Another Playoff Purple Friday

Wearing a No. 10 Ravens jersey with the name "COUNTY EXEC" printed on the back, County Executive Kevin Kamenetz led chants and a sing-along to the Ravens fight song as the county temporarily renamed Towson's Patriot Plaza for Baltimore's playoff run.

At least 100 Ravens fans flocked to Ravens Plaza—as it's known for at least this weekend—for a Friday afternoon pep rally. The Ravens take on the New England Patriots Sunday for the AFC championship.

The pep rally was organized earlier this week by the county and business and community leaders. Sam's Club donated soup and a Ravens cake to feed the hungry fans, many of whom came dressed in Ravens gear and toting signs and other swag.

The plaza—originally named to honor servicemembers, not New England's top-ranked offense—was renamed until Monday with the blessing of Maj. Gen. James Adkins, Maryland's adjutant general.

Kamenetz remarked on what it means to have the Super Bowl in Indianapolis, the same city to which the Baltimore Colts fled under cover of darkness from their Owings Mills home.

"It's 27 years and 10 months later and we're sending another truck back to Indianapolis," Kamenetz told the crowd, which was loud and proud despite the cold and breezy weather.
