As Snow Threat Looms, Towson Residents Stake Parking Spots With Chairs
Share your photos of parking space chairs, a time-honored local practice, with Patch.
Skies were sunny and clear Monday afternoon with nary a dusting of snow, but that didn't stop some Towson residents from staking claims to parking spots ahead of an overnight Tuesday storm.
The Baltimore metro area could see up to 10 inches of snow.
For the unfamiliar, this local practice—typically honored by neighbors—has residents saving spots using chairs during bouts of snow. The logic being that those who take the effort to clear out a space for their vehicles deserve the spots.
