Kitchen Fire Displaces Three Friday In Upper Marlboro

Three Upper Marlboro residents were displaced after a Friday afternoon fire in Croom.

Three residents were displaced after their kitchen accidentally caught on fire Friday afternoon near Upper Marlboro.

Prince George's County firefighters reported to the home on the 9100 block of Carendon Court in Croom around 3:40 p.m., according to county fire spokesman Mark Brady.

Brady reported via Twitter that the fire was started in the kitchen area, but spread to the attic.

Although the occupants were not injured, he said they will be displaced.

There was around $100,000 in damage from the fire.
