Melwood Continues To Help Disabled Amidst Leadership Transition

The nonprofit that helps disabled residents find employment works through a leadership change.

Although CEO Janice Frey-Angel has departed from her post at , the Upper Marlboro-based nonprofit continues to help the area's disabled find employment, according to The Gazette. 

Frey-Angel was the CEO while the organization faced difficulties during the recession over the past five years.

But now, even while the nonprofit faces a leadership change, they continue to work with the area's developmentally disabled to find them opportunities for work.

“We are focused on continuing to expand opportunities for clients,” Board Member Marlon Griffith told the Gazette. “We believe strongly that there’s many other things people can do beyond landscaping and custodial work, if given the opportunity.”
