• Sheriff's Office Captures Fugitive In Murder Of Ex-Boyfriend (thebaynet.com) — Law enforcement in Upper Marlboro has re-arrested a woman wanted on murder and escape charges after she allegedly tampered with an electronic monitoring device and fled while awaiting trial. She was originally held at the Upper Marlboro Department of Corrections following a 2024 homicide case and is now back in custody, which authorities say strengthens community safety.
   

• WATCH: Winter wreck turns fiery; Trooper leads dramatic rescue on I-95 (fredericksburgfreepress.com) — An Upper Marlboro man was seriously injured but survived after a Virginia state trooper and several bystanders pulled him from a burning Tesla following a crash on I-95 in Caroline County. Investigators say winter weather may have contributed to the December 5 wreck, and the driver is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries as the probe continues.
   

• MPD Makes Arrest in Bladensburg Road Shooting (einpresswire.com) — A 19-year-old Upper Marlboro resident has been arrested and extradited to D.C. in connection with a November shooting that injured five people outside a Northeast club. Metropolitan Police credit Prince George’s County officers with helping locate the suspect, who now faces multiple aggravated assault and firearms charges.
