Son Arrested After Woman Found Dead In Temple Hills Home: PGPD

Prince George's Police detectives have arrested the son of a Temple Hills woman found dead in her home Thursday.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — Detectives have arrested the son of 45-year-old Adia Lipscomb Mingo who was found dead in her Temple Hills home Thursday morning.

On Dec. 11 around 8:50 a.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the 6900 block of Westchester Court for a report of a shooting. They found Mingo with trauma. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the police department reported.

Detectives identified 24-year-old Damari Lipscomb as the suspect and arrested him in Pennsylvania, the police department stated Monday. He was taken into custody with the assistance of the PGPD Fugitive Unit, the U.S. Marshals Service Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force, Pennsylvania State Police and the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Lipscomb shot his mother because of an ongoing dispute between the two, police stated. He remains in Pennsylvania pending extradition to Prince George’s County.
