Carroll Lutheran Village Raises Over $100 Thousand for Residents
Carroll Lutheran Village exceeded its fundraising goal for its Benevolent Care Fund, which supports residents who are in need.

Westminster, MD β Carroll Lutheran Village recently raised $101,539 net, exceeding its goal of $90 thousand, for the community's benevolent care fund from its 26th Annual Golf Tournament at The Links at Gettysburg. This fundraiser marks the first time the tournament has netted $100 thousand since 2016. This well-established and impactful annual fundraiser has netted $1,843,290.77 over the course of 26 years.
The Benevolent Care Fund helps residents whose resources have been depleted due to unforeseen circumstances so they can continue receiving the best care in a place they call home. Medicaid, social security and other government reimbursements rarely cover all daily living costs. The Benevolent Care Fund helps make up the difference between what CLV spends on benevolent care and the investment income its Ministry of Caring Endowment Fund provides. The Benevolent Care Fund is vitally important to support CLVβs mission because every dollar provided immediately helps residents.
CLV provided $499,508 in direct resident assistance through the Benevolent Care Fund and a total of $3,053,152.73 in resident assistance in FY 2023.

Dave Bollinger, CLV board of trustee's chair and golf committee chair, said, βItβs always nice to get out to the golf course, but golfing for a great cause like this is even better. Itβs an honor to serve as chair for the past 26 years and to see Carroll County businesses and leaders embrace CLVβs mission of serving older adults in our community and providing for their care. We could not do it without the support of sponsors, committee members, golfers, team members and volunteers who make it possible.β
A total of 77 sponsors and 131 golfers participated in this yearβs tournament. CLVβs 27th Annual Golf Tournament is scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2025 at The Links at Gettysburg.
