• Maryland Man Pleads Guilty to Wire Fraud Conspiracy in Connection With a Technical Support Scheme (einpresswire.com) — A 41-year-old Westminster resident has pleaded guilty in federal court to conspiring in a tech-support scam that defrauded more than 1,000 victims of over $6.8 million. Authorities are using the case to urge older adults, including Carroll County residents, to report suspected fraud and seek help through national hotlines and online complaint centers.
