1 Seriously Injured In Icy Montgomery County Crash: Police
One person was seriously injured after they were struck by a car that lost control on an icy road Monday morning in Montgomery County.
ASHTON, MD — One person was seriously injured after they were struck by a car that lost control on an icy road Monday morning, officials said.
The accident occurred at about 7:20 a.m. in the 1200 block of Tucker Lane in Ashton.
Spokesperson Pete Piringer says the victim lost control of their vehicle and got out of their car. They were then struck by another vehicle that lost control on the icy road, Piringer said.

EMS transported one adult to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Montgomery County Public Schools are operating on a two-hour delay because of icy roads Monday morning.
The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang also tweeted that there were "lots of icy spots on the roads this morning."
Temperatures are expected to remain cold throughout the day, with a high at 37 and lows plunging into the 20s tonight. With all the rain we got on Sunday, the sudden freeze translates to dangerous road conditions.
Things will warm up later this week, reaching close to 50 on Friday and close to 60 on Sunday, according to Weather.com forecasts. We could get some moisture as well in the form of rain on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.
