MS-13 Gang Member Wanted For Armed Robbery In Montgomery County

WHEATON, MD — Montgomery County Police are asking for the public's assistance in locating a "known MS-13 gang member" who is wanted for an armed robbery in Wheaton.

Police say Jose Guilermo Molina-Arevelo, also known as “Malandro," 24, participated in an attempted armed robbery of the Cash Depot store at 11246 Georgia Ave. on November 3, 2017.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Molina-Arevelo’s arrest and charged him with two counts of attempted armed robbery and two counts of conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Police said multiple suspects with their faces covered entered the Cash Depot store brandishing firearms at about 12:35 p.m. Nov. 3. They allegedly threatened a store employee and demanded money. The suspects obtained an undisclosed amount of money and witnesses observed them fleeing the area in a white Chevrolet van, police said.

Police previously arrested Miguel A. Ayala-Rivera, 23; Marcio Roney Avila-Castro, 21; Yeruin J. Romero-Rivera, 21; Juan R. Ramirez-Delgado, 34, and Edwin Geovanny Zelaya-Ramirez, 17, for the robbery.

Molina-Arevelo’s last known address is in the 11200 block of Valley View Ave. in Kensington. He is descried by police as a Hispanic male who is 5’4” tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes and may have an eyebrow ring and earrings in both ears. He is known to frequent the Home Depot store located at 14000 Georgia Avenue in Aspen Hill, police said.
