WHEATON, MD — Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Wheaton on Thursday. The suspect entered the Capitol One Bank at 11241 Georgia Ave. at about 11 a.m. Thursday. Police said he handed the teller that demanded money, obtained an unknown amount of cash and fled from the bank. Detectives released a surveillance photograph of the suspect and are asking for the public's help in identifying him. Anyone with information about the suspect or this bank robbery is asked to contact police at 240-773-5100. To be eligible for a reward, tipsters may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).
