MASSACHUSETTS — From Trader Joe's adding another store to its lineup to a popular fitness center opening its 89th location, it’s been a busy week in Massachusetts business news.
Beloved grocer expands its presence in the Bay State
Trader Joe’s opened its newest store in the Bay State on Thursday. The location opened at the shuttered Walgreens store, which closed about a year ago.

The grocer is now open at 1999 Centre St. in West Roxbury.

Planet Fitness will open in Auburn this November at 366 Southbridge St. The gym, located in the former home of a Bed Bath & Beyond store, will be the chain’s 89th location in Massachusetts.
It's offering a $15 sign-up deal for new members who join by Oct. 31.
Is Massachusetts the best state for jobs?
Massachusetts was named the No. 1 best state for jobs in the country by the personal finance website WalletHub.
The Bay State ranks high due in part to having one of the highest worker protection scores, an increase in available jobs each year and the third-highest job security, among other things.
These Mass. cities ranked among the top U.S. housing hidden gems
Springfield and Chicopee were ranked among 30 of the nation’s best hidden gem housing markets by GoBankingRates.
The cities represent places where “affordability and livability best intersect,” the ranking said. Chicopee came in at No. 22 and Springfield at No. 27.
