Billerica Man Lands $1 Million Prize On Scratch-Off Ticket

A Billerica man won $1 million on a scratch-off ticket recently, according to Mass Lottery.

BILLERICA, MA — A Billerica man won $1 million playing Mass Lottery. Paul Peterson won playing the $10,000,000 Cash Blast game, a scratch-off ticket that runs for $20 each.

Peterson said that he hadn’t bought a ticket in a while, but decided to do so during the Christmas season.

He opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes, according to Mass Lottery. He said that he plans to use his winnings to buy a home.

He purchased his winning ticket at Alltown, 1 Republic Road in Billerica. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

There are still two remaining $1 million prizes left in the $10,000,000 Cash Blast game, according to Mass Lottery.
