Grocery stores will be open on Wednesday, but may close early on Christmas Eve. The same goes for other retail stores. It’s a good idea to call ahead or check websites to confirm hours for stores in Massachusetts.

When Do Grocery Stores Close On Christmas Eve?
Albertsons Companies’ stores — Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Acme, Tom Thumb, Randalls, United Supermarkets, Pavilions, Star Market, Carrs, and Balducci’s Food Lovers Market — typically close between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Christmas Day, depending on location. Some stores will be open on Christmas Day, but will have modified hours.
Aldi stores will close at 4 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will remain closed on Christmas Day.

BJ’s Wholesale Club stores will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed on Christmas Day.
Costco stores will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve. All stores will be closed on Christmas Day.
Hannaford will be closing at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, and will be closed on Christmas Day.
Market Basket will be open from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.
Roche Bros. will close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve and will be closed on Christmas Day.

Are Drugstores Open On Christmas?
