Hot Chicken And Halal Spots Opening Soon In These MA Towns: MA Food Week

Plus: New rankings have placed Massachusetts breakfast sandwiches and pizza among the best in the country.

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.

This week, we learned that a popular and growing Halal chain is coming to Newton.

A new Halal Guys restaurant is slated to launch on 55 Needham St. soon, however a specific opening date has yet to be announced.

The company started as a single food cart in Manhattan 35 years ago, and has since expanded to more than 100 locations throughout the United States. There is currently a Halal Guys location on Stuart Street in Boston. Their menu options are headlined by chicken and rice, gyros, falafel, hummus, baklava, served with its red and white sauces.

Also this week, we learned the site of the former B.T.’s Fried Chicken & BBQ in Worcester will soon become the location of a Nashville hot chicken restaurant, according to the Worcester Business Journal.
