Here's how to watch the 2021 Boston Marathon online or on TV. There are a few ways to live stream or catch it on cable.
MASSACHUSETTS — Maybe this is the year you watch the Boston Marathon from the comfort of your own home. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to watch the live TV broadcast and catch the live stream of the action online.
Following suit with most events since March of 2020, last year's race was canceled altogether due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with athletes competing in a virtual marathon if they chose to. This year, the marathon returns, but this time the date is later in the year than at any point in its 125-year history.
On Monday, Oct. 11, WBZ-TV is covering the Boston Marathon live and you can catch it on CBS local stream online, which can be seen here. You can also catch live national coverage on NBC Sports. And if you are watching internationally, you can see who is carrying the race here.

Because of a deal with the BAA, WBZ has exclusive live coverage on Monday, October 11 from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. ET on WBZ-TV (channel 4 in Boston). Then you can find a complete rerun starting at 8 p.m. on myTV38.
CBSBoston.com will have the live streaming complete with a finish line camera.
NBC Sports also has a multi-year contract with the BAA. Here's what you can expect:

- Live race coverage will be broadcast on NBC Sports Network and the NBC Sports App from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET.
- A primetime encore replay of the race will air on Olympic Channel at 8:00 p.m. ET
