Latest Round Of GameStop Closures Hits At Least 12 MA Stores

More than 500 store locations shut down in 2025.

MASSACHUSETTS — A longtime gaming retailer is shutting down a number of locations in Massachusetts this month.

GameStop is set to close multiple stores in Massachusetts this year, according to multiple reports. While the retailer has not officially confirmed the number of locations that will close, a crowdsourced online list reports that at least 12 stores in the Bay State have closed or are planning to close in the next week or so.

On the GameStop website, a number of store locations appear without listed hours and indicate they are closed daily, including Brookline, Malden, Chestnut Hill, Waltham, Stoughton, Methuen, Raynham, Lunenburg, North Dartmouth, East Longmeadow, and Westfield.
