MA Girl, 8, Bound For Kids Golf World Championship
Reese Hunsinger of Somerset will compete at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina next month, according to a report.
SOMERSET, MA — An 8-year-old Massachusetts girl is ready to show off her skills on the green when she participates in the U.S. Kids Golf World Championship next month, according to a report.
Reese Hunsinger of Somerset will compete in the championship, planned Aug. 4-6 at the Pinehurst Resort in Pinehurst, North Carolina. The competition is open to golfers ages 5-12, according to the event's website.
The achievement makes sense for Reese, especially since golf is her "favorite thing to do in the world," she told WCVB. Her father, Mike, is also the head golf coach at Durfee High School in Fall River and a former golf teaching professional.
