MA Grocery Chain Ranked No. 2 In The U.S.: Report

MASSACHUSETTS — A Massachusetts-based grocery chain is among the best grocery stores in the nation, according to a new ranking.

Market Basket was ranked No. 2 in the $1 trillion U.S. grocery market by customer data science company Dunnhumby, according to a Boston25 report. The Tewksbury-based chain, with locations across New England, is best known for its low grocery prices.

Texas-based chain H-E-B took the No. 1 spot on the list.

Four other stores in Massachusetts were among the top 10. Costco was ranked No. 4, Aldi No. 5, Trader Joe's No. 7, Amazon No. 8, and Wegman's No. 9, the news outlet reported.
