PRINCETON, MA — A man in Princeton is facing charges after officers found explosives in his vehicle, according to the Princeton Police Department.

Jason E. Baldarelli, Jr., 27, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Explosive Devices on Thursday. This is after police said they found nine explosive devices in his vehicle.

Princeton police worked closely with state agencies and the Worcester County District Attorney's Office to investigate explosions reported on Monday at 4 a.m.

Princeton police, along with state agencies, planned a traffic stop at 7 a.m. on Thursday. Baldarelli was arrested and inside his vehicle, officers found the explosive devices.

He was arraigned on Thursday in Leominster District Court, and a search of his residence is underway. The explosive devices were rendered safe after a controlled detonation.
