WORCESTER, MA — A Leominster man pleaded guilty to manslaughter and drug distribution charges in connection with an overdose death that happened last year.
Eric Stone, 39, was sentenced to four to five years in state prison and two years of probation in Worcester Superior Court on Tuesday. Prosecutors said that Stone supplied a 44-year-old male with cocaine and fentanyl just before he died on June 20, 2024.
The victim died from the combined effects of cocaine, fentanyl, methamphetamine and bupropion.

Stone was arrested in January and has been in custody since his arrest.
“This case is a painful reminder of the deadly consequences of the opioid crisis," said Fitchburg Police Chief Steven D. Giannini. “I hope this outcome can bring some measure of justice to the victim's friends and family.”
