MA Man Thanks Mom After Winning $1M Lottery Ticket
Matthew Broadley of Tyngsborough received a winning lottery ticket inside a Valentine's Day card from his mother.

TYNGSBOROUGH, MA — A Massachusetts man says he has his mother to thank for gifting him a Valentine's Day card with a lottery ticket that made him a million dollars richer.
Matthew Broadley of Tyngsborough received the card containing two "$4,000,000 Jumbo Cash" tickets on Tuesday and scratched them that night, according to the Massachusetts State Lottery.
The second ticket, purchased at Lakeview General Store in Tyngsborough, was the big winner.

Broadley opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 after taxes, telling officials that he does not have any immediate plans for his winnings.
When he went to Mass Lottery headquarters in Dorchester on Valentine’s Day, Broadley brought his card along and said "Thanks, mom" when claiming his prize, lottery officials said.
