Nor'easter Forecast: 18 Inches Of Snow For Many; Travel May Be 'Impossible'
This one could be a doozy, with at least a foot and a half of snow and 60-mile-per-hour wind gusts through Saturday.

Most Massachusetts residents will be looking at between 8-18 inches of snow — and maybe more — as a nor'easter makes its way to the region.
Most of the state is under a winter storm watch from late Friday night through Saturday evening. The forecasted accumulations by the National Weather Service only run through 7 p.m. Saturday, meaning higher totals could be realized by the time the snow stops.
The easternmost parts of the state are looking at 12-18 inches coupled with the strongest winds — the Cape may see gusts of up to 60 miles per hour during the storm. There may be 8-12 inches from I-95 to past Worcester. If the storm tracks farther east or west than what's expected, snow totals could shift.

The storm could potentially shut down Logan Airport and cancel flights up and down the East Coast.

The storm is being dubbed a "bomb cyclone" due a rapid loss of pressure. What it essentially means is that it will be a doozy.
"This is going to be an intensifying storm that will produce a lot of wind, which raises concerns for blowing and drifting snow, power outages and blizzard conditions in some areas," AccuWeather meteorologist Jonathan Porter said. "There is also a serious coastal flooding and beach erosion threat, especially in eastern Massachusetts."
