MA Woman Sentenced For Raping Former Foster Child, DA Says

The incidents happened in 2015.

WORCESTER, MA — A Charlton woman was sentenced for raping a 12-year-old child who was under her care at Worcester County Superior Court on Tuesday.

Heather Wright-Craft, 52, was sentenced to serve two concurrent prison terms of 10 years to 10 years and one day for two convictions of aggravated rape of a child. She was found guilty by a jury on Sept. 12.

The rape happened in 2015 while Wright-Craft was fostering the victim, according to the Worcester County District Attorney. The woman was arrested and charged in August 2017.
