Major Nor'easter Could Dump More Than A Foot Of Snow This Weekend
While the exact track of the storm is still unknown, the "bomb cyclone" is likely to bring heavy snow and strong winds to the region.

While warning that a lot could change between now and the first flakes, forecasters are talking about the high likelihood of a major nor'easter slamming the region this weekend.
"Confidence is increasing that a significant winter storm will create considerable impacts Friday through the weekend from the Mid-Atlantic through the Northeast," the National Weather Service said.
The exact track of the storm is unknown and could still vary widely, but what's expected as of Wednesday morning is heavy snow couple with major winds and cold temperatures beginning late Friday night and having most impact Saturday. The central and eastern parts of the state are expected to see the worst of it.

"This could be a huge snowstorm for New England," AccuWeather meteorologist Bernie Rayno said. AccuWeather is warning of the possibility of more than a foot of snow coming from the "bomb cyclone," a term used to describe a heavy pressure drop that fuels major storms.
