8 Displaced, Multiple Firefighters Injured In Malden Blaze
The flames had spread to the second and third floors of the Wyoming Avenue residence when crews responded to the scene early Saturday morning. The eight occupants of the home were safely evacuated before firefighters arrived. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Former MA Man Guilty In 2010 Cold Case Killing
Jason Lopes, 38, was convicted of manslaughter Thursday following a 10-day trial. He was convicted of stabbing 22-year-old Zackary Marshall to death outside a Peck Street bar in December 2010. In 2020, a friend of Lopes testified that Lopes admitted to stabbing someone after a fight.

13-Year-Old Boy Killed In E-Bike Crash Identified As Bedford, Massachusetts Middle School Student
Parker Robles was riding an electric dirt bike on Oak Street in Stoneham around 4:30 p.m. Friday he reportedly crashed into a car. The 73-year-old driver was turning his Toyota Corolla onto Oak Street when Robles hit the car. Robles was rushed to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston where he died. He was a student of John Glenn Middle School in Bedford.
Whitman CVS Robbery Suspects Caught On Camera, Police Say
A man pulled a pistol on the employee when they tried to stop the woman from stealing from the Bedford Street store. The pair then fled in the direction of a nearby McDonald’s.
Cape Cod Man Dead In Cranberry Bog Accident
The 71-year-old became pinned underneath heavy equipment Friday morning while working at the Falmouth bogs 1054 County Rd. Upon arrival, Officers and paramedics provided CPR, but the man was pronounced dead. The incident remains under investigation by the Bourne Police Department.
Brookline Man Arrested On Child Pornography Charge
Ariel Torres, 37, was charged with one count of possession of child pornography after being arrested late last week. He was reportedly first identified as a user of an online network known for the dissemination of child sexual abuse material, which was followed by a search of his Brookline residence. According to charging documents, approximately 49 images and 37 videos depicting child pornography.
