ACROSS MASSACHUSETTS — With the United States still very much trying to conquer the coronavirus pandemic, having good access to medical care has never been more important. However, not all medical care is created equal. It's better in some states than it is in others. But the question is, "How much better?"
To determine where Americans receive the highest-quality services at the best prices, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 44 key measures of health care cost, accessibility and outcome. The data set ranges from the average monthly insurance premium to physicians per capita to the share of insured population.
The good news is Massachusetts is apparently doing something right. According to the study, the state has the best health care in the country, ranking No. 1 overall.
