BOSTON — Massachusetts travelers can catch a new flight to a Caribbean island starting this winter.

BermudAir announced Thursday that it will launch direct flights to Anguilla from Boston Logan International Airport.

The carrier will also fly from Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport to Anguilla, a British Overseas Territory in the Lesser Antilles. Located about 150 miles east of Puerto Rico, Anguilla is known for its white-sand beaches, crystal-clear water and beach bars.

BermudAir is launching a new arm, AnguillAir, as part of the expansion.

Anguilla is BermudAir's first destination outside of the U.S., Canada and Bermuda.

The nonstop service starts Dec. 19. It will only operate during the winter months.

"The reopening of the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport marks a pivotal moment for Anguilla's economic future," Anguilla Minister of Infrastructure Jose Vanterpool said in a statement. "Our agreement with BermudAir to launch nonstop service from the U.S. Northeast is a crucial first step. To support long-term, sustainable growth, we are pursuing a phased, demand-driven expansion plan, which includes extending the runway to accommodate larger aircraft and increased passenger and cargo volumes."

To accommodate the changes, BermudAir will suspend flights from Providence, Rhode Island and operate from Fort Lauderdale, Florida as a winter-only route.

BermudAir launched in September 2023 as the territory's flagship carrier.

"This is more than a new route—it's a reflection of what BermudAir was built to do: strengthen island connections, deliver extraordinary service, and create lasting economic value for Bermuda and beyond," BermudAir Founder and CEO Adam Scott said in a statement. "We're proud that, because of the support of Bermudians and the growth in tourism demand, we are now able to extend our reach and share our island hospitality with Anguilla."
