Hazing Incident Sees 9 MA Frat Brothers Arrested, Total Now 46
The Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity brothers are facing charges in connection to a University of New Hampshire hazing incident.

MASSACHUSETTS — Nine Massachusetts students were among a dozen fraternity brothers arrested in connection to a University of New Hampshire hazing incident — joining another 29 students previously accused in the same incident.
New Hampshire police say they expect to bring charges against a total of 46 people in connection to the April 13 incident that took place at a fraternity house at 28 Madbury Road in Durham, New Hampshire. The latest arrests happened Tuesday.
Assistant Strafford County Attorney Emily Garod, the prosecutor in charge of the case, says she anticipates bringing Class B misdemeanor charges against the fraternity members, who are between 18 and 21 years old.

In New Hampshire, Class B misdemeanors cannot result in incarceration, but the students will also not be able to receive legal services provided by the state.
According to Garod, the 46 students include those suspected of being in charge of the hazings and others who participated. The fraternity, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, is currently under interim suspension while the investigation continues, the university said in a statement.
