NYC's Famous Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree To Come From MA

The tree, which stands 74 feet tall and weighs in at 11 tons, will be cut on Nov. 7 and make its grand arrival on Nov. 9.

This year marks the first time since 1959 that the famous tree will come from the Bay State, and it's no mystery why it was chosen: Its massive height dwarfs the average Norway spruce, which typically only grows to 40 or 60 feet.
