'Oreo' Could Stuff Your Heart With Love: Patch Shelter Spotlight
The 1-year-old is a big package of personality and spunk for a family who helps him lay off the cookies (just a bit).

MASSACHUSETTS — Oreo is a big guy who is big on personality — with a bit of a sweet tooth — and looking for a forever family who can help him be his silly self while perhaps losing a pound or two together.
The 1-year-old neutered male is this week's Patch Shelter Spotlight as part of a series to showcase pets in need of homes amid an adoption crisis nationwide. Oreo is currently seeking his new family while housed at the MSPCA's Boston facility.
Oreo is described as "a spunky, young guy who is full of personality! Oreo loves to play and be silly, but is also a champion when it comes to training."

The MSPCA said he is still an adolescent pup who has a lot to learn about the world, and that he can sometimes find the sights and sounds of the big city to be "pretty overwhelming."
At 78 pounds, he is described as a "food enthusiast" who could use a little help from his adopters slimming down a bit "so he can look and feel his best going forward."

"Oreo could live with another well-matched dog friend, potentially cats, and older children who can help participate in his training," the MSPCA said.
As a bigger breed dog more than 6 months old, Oreo is available for a fee-free adoption from April 16 through April 21.
If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by the MSPCA's Boston Adoption Center at 350 Huntington Avenue. There are adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. with no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs.
Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) they are interested in and if a match can be identified. Potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
