Boston Bar Reinvents Itself As Popular TV Watering Hole For Pop-Up: MA Food Week

Plus: A string of new restaurants are opening in Worcester, the Greater Boston bagel scene is getting a new addition and more.

MASSACHUSETTS — Welcome to Patch's weekly round up of food and restaurant news in Massachusetts, where we review openings, closings and more in the state's dining scene.

This week marked the beginning of a Boston pop-up hoping to bring locals into a bar they'll recognize from television.

Bucket Listers and West End Johnnies have partnered to transform the Portland Street spot into The Drunken Clam, the watering hole best known from the television series "Family Guy."

This comes after events in Los Angeles and Houston were successful, bringing the bar set in the fictional town of Quahog, Rhode Island, to its most natural region.

"Peter and the guys have made thousands of dumb decisions at The Drunken Clam on 'Family Guy.’ This is your chance to make a few dumb decisions of your own," said executive producers Rich Appel and Alec Sulkin.

The experience starts at $18 per ticket and includes a welcome cocktail or mocktail. Organizers have also scheduled show-themed trivia and karaoke nights, as well as a food and cocktail menu that highlights favorite moments from the show.

Guests will also be able to engage in “Family Guy”-themed trivia and karaoke nights.
