Amazon announced on Thursday that it will hire 5,500 people in the Bay State for seasonal roles. The roles, which include full- and part-time positions, offer more than $19 per hour and flexible schedules.

Beloved Bargain Store Opens In Central MA

Ollie's Bargain Outlet opened in Wallace Plaza in Fitchburg on Wednesday. The retailer boasts up to 70 percent off the "fancy stores' prices on brand-name" items.

Ollie's replaced Big Lots, which shuttered last year, at the storefront at 353 John Fitch Hwy.

Snowport Gears Up For 2025 Season

The Snowport Holiday Market will return on Nov. 7 for its fifth season. This year's market will feature over 125 independently-owned businesses and 20 local food and beverage concepts.

Plus, Snowport's annual Light Up Seaport tree lighting is scheduled for Dec. 5 at 6 p.m.

Store For Golf Lovers Charts Opening

Golf Galaxy is hosting a three-day grand opening celebration beginning Oct. 24 at Wayside Commons in Burlington. The store is located at 6 Wayside Rd, Unit 60.

The facility will feature hitting bays, a putting green, a golf services desk, instruction from a PGA professional, and gear from top golf brands.
