Trump Hints At MA Visit To Campaign For Diehl
Former President Donald Trump also took shots at Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker during a radio interview on Thursday.

BOSTON — Former President Donald Trump hinted he may travel to Massachusetts to campaign for Geoff Diehl, the Republican candidate in this year's race for governor.
"We'll do something for him, absolutely," Trump told WRKO talk show host Howie Carr in an on-air interview Thursday afternoon. By Thursday evening, Diehl had shared Trump's comments with supporters in a fundraising email.
In recent polls, Diehl is well behind leading Democratic candidate Maura Healey and state Sen. Sonia Chang-Diaz.

"Geoff Diehl is great. I think Geoff Diehl can win the whole thing too, meaning the general election," Trump told Carr. "I think he's great. Good-looking guy, smart."
Trump endorsed Diehl last year, even before Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker announced he was not running for reelection. Baker, a Republican, has denied Trump's claims that his support of Diehl factored in his decision not to run.
