As we approach this holiday season, what are you thankful for?
All those who rejected and turned me away inadvertently contributed to my strength and helped me discover my true potential. Those who embraced me with open hearts and open minds have reaffirmed my faith in humanity and the comforting belief that I am never truly alone. Everyone who encouraged me to grow into a better version of myself has left a lasting impact on my life. Every person I've encountered has entered my life to impart valuable and crucial lessons. Whether through their harsh or kind words, smiles, tears, moments of joy, moments of fear, or words of encouragement, each of these experiences has played a part in shaping me into a more compassionate and humane individual. I'm deeply grateful for your presence in my life, as every individual's role holds significant meaning.

I'm so very thankful for my family. Through a series of terrible events, we have come together for the first time in many years. We've come to appreciate each other in a way that is different than it ever was. This holiday season we will be together, 4 generations strong minus one special man, for the first time. I'm so grateful for them!

We are extremely thankful for the 6th grade "OTTER team" teachers at Blake Middle School. They have provided the most successful, educational transition possible for our son. In addition to their daily instruction, they are also fostering necessary skills such as independence, confidence, and responsibility. We are grateful to these teachers for taking the time to get to know our son in such a way, that they know what he needs before he does. We all know that the middle school years are some of the toughest. From what we have seen so far, our son is in great hands. Thank you to these teachers for making Blake a place that our son looks forward to going every day!

I look around and appreciate everyone in my life and all of the tangible items that I have been blessed with. One of my biggest blessings is my newest grandson - he smiles so brightly and is so content with just being loved. He reminds me that it's not that serious, just be happy and you'll be alright! I'm so thankful for that reminder!
